Ali Ata Alkhaldi, PhD in Applied Linguistics from Leeds Met University, UK. He is a senior lecturer and course leader of English language course series at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, UAE. He taught English as a second language and English for Specific Purposes in the Arab World. His research interests are Second Language Acquisition theories, English language education, applied linguistics, and materials development. He published relevant articles and undertook presentations at a number of conferences.
